About Us

The Morse School science club began in the fall of 2009 by LERNet, a Boston Univeristy resource center for educational and enrichment activities for middle and highschool students. The science club is currently sponsered by Science Club for Girls, a Boston based organization whose mission is "to increase the self-confidence and literacy in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) of K-12th grade girls belonging to groups that are underrepresented in these fields, through free programs that include hands-on learning, mentorship, and leadership opportunities."

The mentor scientists who lead the clubs at the Morse School are graduate students at Boston University and are members of Graduate Women in Science and Engineering Program (GWISE).
